Atlanta COT Race Goes To Chris Peugeot

Another week of spins and incidents as the Dyno COT Series took to Atlanta Motor Speedway for race number four of the season.  Allen Ebert would claim another pole and lead the field to green and it would not take long for the action to start.  And just like last week it was a case of the drivers trying to catch their tails before the tail caught them.  As the race would go longer it seemed the drivers started to find the feel for the track and the setups underneath them.  Several drivers on the other hand would find their nights shortened for a variety of reasons.  Robby Bannister coming off of his win last week would be the first to retire with electrical problems, next would be "JJ" Jackson who would lose a clutch that would put him behind the wall for the night.  Mike Van Tornhout would find that he is still looking for a little luck as his night would end after contact with the turn one wall.  The same fate would also await Darrell Pace as he would find the inside wall coming down the backstretch some thirteen laps later.  While all this was happening Chris Peugeot would find his groove and work his way to the front and once there would not give it up.  Peugeot would lead the last several laps and fight off a couple restarts to pick up the win.  Following him across the line would be Mark Peugeot, Rich Patton, Jeff Bond and Allen Ebert in the top five.  Shayne CArr and Alan Coleman would come home sixth and seventh respectively.  Pace, Van Tornhout, Jackson and Bannister would round out the finish.  Peugeots win was his first of the season and would make it four different winners in four races to start the season.

Dyno Newcomer Hoerner Wins Nashville

The Dyno Truck Series visited Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday night for race number four on the schedule.  Point leader Mark Peugeot would lead the field to the green and lead the first fourteen laps.  Shayne Carr would make a bold move entering turn on and split Peugeot and the #00 of Rich Patton to take the lead.  Carr would hold the lead for the next several laps with pressure coming from the #12 of Chris Peugeot.  After a long turn leading the fieid Carr would surrender the lead to Kelly Hoerner who would not let go of it the rest of the race.  The race was only slowed by two cautions the last of which came out when Alan Coleman expired a motor with just over twenty laps to go.  After pit stops the race would resume with Carr taking a couple shots at Hoerner before settling for second.  The final results would be Hoerner followed by Carr in second point leader Mark Peugeot in third and Chris Peugeot in fourth who had spent most of the race challenging for the lead with Hoerner and Carr.  Fifht place would go to "JJ" Jackson, with Rich Patton, Jeff Bond and Alan Coleman rounding out the field.  Next week will see the truck take to the Kansas Speedway for race number five.  Until then see you next week.

Slump Ends At One Race Carr Wins Fulton

Fulton Speedway played host to the Dyno Outlaw Series on friday night  for race number four of the season.  Last weeks winner Rich Patton would pick up where he left off and put the Avatar #00 on the pole, for his second pole award of the season.  Alan Coleman would qualify second with Mike Van Tornhout rounding out the top three qualifiers.  Patton would sprint out to the early lead while being chased by the #44 of Van Tornhout and the #12 of Chris Peugeot.  A couple early cautions would keep Patton close to the field while point leader #21 Shayne Carr would come from the last qualifying spot to find himself behind Patton.  A caution on lap nineteen would see Patton pit as he was concerned about having enough fuel in the tank to finish the race.  This would give Carr the lead and that was not a good thing as he was intent on recovering from a one race slump that saw him finish in fifth place last week.  Peugeot in the #12 would find himself in second on the restart.  Only a couple laps went into the books before the caution fell again.  When it went back to green it would not be long before Peugeot would claim the hard luck award, as the #36 of Alan Coleman would get turned sideways in three and four and set a roadblock that Peugeot tried to avoid but ended up broadside into the pit wall.  The rest of the race was a battle for the other spots as Carr had the field covered to end his slump at one race.  Rich Patton would give it his all but come up short.  Following Carr across the line would be Patton, Van Tornhout and Mark Peugeot in the #14, Rounding out the top five would be the #51 of Brian Roberts who was making his first start of the season.  Alan Coleman would finish sixth and Peugeot in the #12 would finish seventh.  The win was the third of the season for Carr.  Next week the Outlaws head to Caraway Speedway for race number five.

This Week At Dyno Racing Edition No. 3

Wow, what a week at Dyno Racing.  Rich Patton not only picks up his first win of the season but goes back to back as he wins in the Outlaws and the Truck series.  Robby Bannister would pick up his first win of the season in the COT series in a race that nearly turned into a survival of the fittest or the luckiest as the race was held in Las Vegas.  This week the Outlaws will find their way back to the dirt as they will be visiting Fulton Speedway.  The trucks will be in Nashville to do battle and the COT Series will be at "Hot" lanta in what are sure to be some hotly contested races.  In race team news Shayne Carr will be unveiling a new sponsor on his Outlaw in the next few weeks, keep an eye out for that.  Chris Peugeot should return this week to all three series after taking in the sunshine in Florida last week for a much deserved vacation.  Mike Van Tornhout purchased a truckload of rabbits feet in hopes of changing his luck as it seems he just can't buy a break this season and pick up a win.   It was reported earlier this week that our truck series reporter had some problems with press credentials and wrote his report from the account of a few drunk fans.. After some investigating it seems that the reporter himself had tipped back a few too many and gave his credentials to a lady with a couple great assets that seemed to have clouded his judgment. Expect that reporter back in a few weeks as he is taking a leave of absence after a letter of apology to his employer.

Patton Wins Wild One At Evergreen

Evergreen Speedway played host to the Dyno Outlaw series friday night. And from start to finish it was a wild race.  Rich Patton would qualify on the pole in his brand new Avatar #00 with Jim "The Kid" Jackson grabbing the outside spot on the front row.  The race would see seven caution periods for a total of thirty laps with everyone being part of a caution somewhere along the way.  Patton would be the car to beat in the first half of the race before surrendering after getting spun by the #21 of Shayne Carr.  A few more cautions would slow the second half of the race but in the end Patton would reclaim the lead with just over twenty laps to go.  Carr would mount a couple charges before the last caution of the night would come out.  A two lap shootout would ensue and it looked like Carr would get by Patton as Patton got into turn three a little hot coming to the white flag.  The two drivers would get together going down the front stretch and Carr would come out on the short end of the stick as he would spin out on the front stretch.  Alan Coleman in the #36 would make a last ditch effort to get by Patton but would come up just short, actually giving Jackson a chance to get by and pick up second place.  Your final finish would be Patton, Jackson, Coleman, as your top three with Mike Van Tornhout in the #44 in fourth followed by Carr, and the #14 of Mark Peugeot.
