Patton Wins Wild One At Evergreen
Evergreen Speedway played host to the Dyno Outlaw series friday night. And from start to finish it was a wild race. Rich Patton would qualify on the pole in his brand new Avatar #00 with Jim "The Kid" Jackson grabbing the outside spot on the front row. The race would see seven caution periods for a total of thirty laps with everyone being part of a caution somewhere along the way. Patton would be the car to beat in the first half of the race before surrendering after getting spun by the #21 of Shayne Carr. A few more cautions would slow the second half of the race but in the end Patton would reclaim the lead with just over twenty laps to go. Carr would mount a couple charges before the last caution of the night would come out. A two lap shootout would ensue and it looked like Carr would get by Patton as Patton got into turn three a little hot coming to the white flag. The two drivers would get together going down the front stretch and Carr would come out on the short end of the stick as he would spin out on the front stretch. Alan Coleman in the #36 would make a last ditch effort to get by Patton but would come up just short, actually giving Jackson a chance to get by and pick up second place. Your final finish would be Patton, Jackson, Coleman, as your top three with Mike Van Tornhout in the #44 in fourth followed by Carr, and the #14 of Mark Peugeot.
